Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information the Shown Space website and app collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Shown Space provides Ultimate Frisbee Association (UFA) stats and analytics.
Information we collect
If you create an account, we collect your email address and, optionally, a display name. If you sign in with Apple in the app, Apple gives us your name the first time you authorise it, and either your email address or a private relay address if you choose to hide it. In the app we also store the teams you follow and your notification preferences. On both the website and the app we collect usage and diagnostic data, described below. We do not ask for or store payment card details.
How we use your information
We use your information to provide our features — signing you in, showing the teams and stats you follow, sending the notifications you opt into, and responding to support requests. We use usage data to understand how the website and app are used and improve them, and diagnostic data to find and fix crashes.
Analytics and session recording
We use PostHog to understand how the website and app are used — which pages and screens are viewed and which features are used. Once you sign in, this activity is linked to your account and email address; it is not anonymous. In the app, PostHog also records sessions, which capture what is shown on screen as you navigate; text you type is masked and never recorded, including passwords and StatChat queries. We do not sell your personal information.
Crash and error reporting
In the app, we use Sentry to capture crashes and errors, along with your device model, operating system, and app version. If you are signed in, your account ID and email are attached so we can follow up on a problem you report. When an error occurs, Sentry records a replay of the moments leading up to it. We do not send your device's IP address to Sentry. The website does not use Sentry.
StatChat
If StatChat is enabled on your account, the questions you ask are sent to our servers and to an AI service that generates the answer, along with your account identifier. Please do not include personal or sensitive information in StatChat questions.
Push notifications
Push notifications are an app feature; the website does not send them. If you enable notifications in the app, we use OneSignal to deliver them. OneSignal receives a device identifier so it can send messages to your device. You can turn notifications off at any time in the app or in your device settings.
Data storage and third parties
Account and preference data is stored with Supabase, our backend and authentication provider. We share data with service providers — Supabase, PostHog, Sentry, and OneSignal — only as needed to operate the website and app, and they are bound to protect it.
Your choices and rights
You can edit your display name at any time, and in the app you can also change the teams you follow and adjust notification preferences. You can delete your account and all associated data from the Account screen in the app; deletion is permanent and removes your profile, followed teams, and notification settings. If you do not use the app, email shownspace.analytics@gmail.com and we will delete your account for you.
Children's privacy
Shown Space is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new 'Last updated' date.
